David A Evans

Education and Experience: A graduate of Manchester University with a LL.B. (Hons) in Law, David began his career at Ford Motor Company in Industrial Relations. He then worked in Ford of Britain sales. After a year long round the world trip David joined United Biscuits where he was HR Strategy Manager and then the HR Manager of a large biscuit factory. David then moved into consultancy, joining Accenture where he was the HR Lead on the then world’s largest IT and Finance outsourcing deal, before leading the global design workstreams on performance management and career management when Accenture went global. Latterly David ran the global operational delivery of Accenture’s global HR and Procurement outsourcing deal for Unilever, with operations in Asia, Africa, Europe and N America. In 2013 David left to develop a career as an independent consultant and Mediator.

Professional Skills and Expertise: Board Effectiveness assessment, Team effectiveness, change management, mediation for individuals and teams, and the design and implementation of HR programmes. David draws on his background in business to ensure a commercial stance is always taken in his work. He is a qualified test user for both occupational and personality assessments, and an accredited Mediator through CEDR.

International Experience: David has run consulting projects and then overseen the operational delivery of services in over 100 countries. These range from HR transformation programmes in Asia, Africa, Europe, North and Latin America to an executive level mediation in India.

Coaching Style and Approach: David has two particular strengths which combine to enable him to work with Boards / Teams and to effectively mediate: he excels at figuring out how people who are different can work together productively; and his strategic perspective, where faced with any given scenario he can quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues. David also looks to bring a commercial focus to his clients.

What Inspires me: People who put the bigger picture in society before ego and personal needs, and the Causeway Coast & Glens are in Ulster, with its stupendous scenery.
